Year of Jubilee

The Jubilee Year ends with a great celebration

The community just brought it’s jubilee year to a close with a spectacular gathering of over 4,000 members from all around the world in Paray-le-Monial, France. It was a time of renewal, rejoicing and reminiscing for all brothers and sisters alike.

The renewal was inspired by the countless testimonies and words of encouragement from such wonderful guests as Cardinal Schonborn live and direct from Austria and Cardinal Ouellet from the Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops who joined in on the celebration for a few days. And of course how can we not mention the beautiful words expressed by our brother and moderator, Laurent Landete. He reminded us of what it means to be a brother/sister, how we are ever more called to evangelize and rely on the gifts of the pillars of our community founded from the very beginning on Adoration, Compassion and Evangelization.

We also recall the remarkable feat of organizing this gathering and making it the grandiose event that it turned out to be. We must therefore mention the immense and tireless work of those who translated the entire program of four days into over 18 languages as well as the live broadcast through a local French radio station.

All the daily teachings and testimonies were also uploaded each day so that those who were unable to attend would be able to take part in the graces lived daily from home. It was an event that was carried by all in service and prayer. In the end it was received as the gift that it turned out to be; a gift to be able to celebrate the grace of living 40 years as an international community who seeks to serve God and the Church always.

Now we move into the year of Faith, a year our Holy Father has given to us beginning this October 11, 2012. Let us truly thrive from the graces and blessings received from this jubilee year and move forward to a year lived in constant gratitude for one another and for the gift of our most beautiful faith.
