On Sunday, November 05, 2017, we had a great opportunity to meet in our household after attending the holy mass that took place at Saint Elisabeth Ann Seton Church. It was a wonderful moment of praises, testimonies and brotherhood.
We had an open household of four brothers and sisters: Abel – visiting from Rwanda, Serge – graduated from Belgium, reunited with his wife Claudine who is studying in TCU, and Hortense, living in Texas. We had also three special guests: Stanislas, our friend, Elizabeth and her baby boy Ellis, also living in Fort Worth.
During our joyful praises, the Lord reminded us that He is our Good Shepherd; He doesn’t want anyone of us to get lost because He is a good shepherd. This God’s word was also a good introduction to Abel’s talk about “God’s love” which was very rich.
Elizabeth grew up in an Emmanuel Community family in Butare, Rwanda. She gave us a wonderful testimony:
I always knew that I can count on my parents’ prayers in all circumstances but when I had my own son I wondered, who is going to pray for him? It is my turn! That’s the reason why I searched the Emmanuel Community in Fort Worth until I got Hortense’s contact. I am very happy to be with you and I will do all my best to attend our meetings.
We will have meeting every other week, to praise the Lord together, share His word and the way we are living it in our daily life.
Let’s stay united in prayer!
