Today, [Wednesday] the Pentecost celebrations began with a Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square. Below, Rosemary (PA) and David (MN) joined other brothers and sisters from the Community to welcome the 50th anniversary of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal this year, in conjunction with Pentecost.
Later today, at the Trinita dei Monti Church, entrusted to the EC and the location of the new ESM, the brothers and sisters gathered with praise, Mass, Adoration, and an opening by Laurent Landete. He encouraged us to hope that the Holy Spirit was going to do something new in these days for us, to equip the needs of the church and the world of tomorrow, that we would be open to new expressions of being community and exercising the charisms which may be different from the past, in order to receive a fresh outpouring today.
There are 132 countries present for this 50th jubilee celebration of the Catholic Charismatic movement for Pentecost 2017.
1200 members of the Emmanuel Community will be present.
