The Emmanuel community in New York consists of a small group of Catholics from international origins praying and praising together on a regular basis.
Emmanuel Community monthly gathering
We have a monthly gathering open to those interested and it will be a pleasure to meet you there. This meeting is normally held on first Saturdays or first Sundays of each month at St John and St Paul Parish in Larchmont www.sjpparish.org October to June. Please contact us to check the dates and the location that can change if need be. There is a direct train from Grand Central (or Harlem 125th Street Station) in Manhattan to Larchmont (New Haven Line). The Church is a 10-minute walk from Larchmont station (cabs are also available).
The dates for Spring 2016 are as follows:
Saturday March 12 – 11 am to 1:30 pm
Saturday April 2 – 11 am to 1:30 pm
Saturday June 4 – 11 am to 1:30 pm
Participation in a weekly household
For those who want to experience the life of the Community in deeper way, they may join one of our “households”. A household is a group of 6 to 10 brothers and sisters meeting on a weekly basis to share and pray together. The commitment to belong to a household should be done for at least one year.
Finding masses, confession, adoration in NYC
If you are in New York for a short visit and are looking for Masses or Adoration, we recommend St. Patrick’s Cathedral where you will find around ten different daily Mass times and a large number of activities http://www.saintpatrickscathedral.org You will also find numerous Masses, Confession times, and Adoration opportunities at the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi http://www.stfrancisnyc.org. You can also visit the New York Archdiocese website and find information about all local parishes at http://www.archny.org/parishfinder.
