This year that marks the 100th anniversary of Fatima apparition the Emmanuel Community celebrates a Marian year, dedicated to Our Lady.
The consecration to Mary is a daily living practice for EC members that reinforces of our desire to follow God’s will, leading to a greater love of Christ and the Church. The intercession of Mary will unite our heart with Jesus and help us to discover the merciful tenderness of God. The meditation and prayers are centered in St Louis de Montfort’s consecration to Jesus through Mary. With the daily consecration we acknowledge Mary as the driving example of our spiritual life, the gentle the way to Christ. We pray for a heart that resembles Mary’s holiness in growing in God’s trust and love, docility to the Holy Spirit, and a transformation of self according to the image of Christ.
Today, we choose you, Mary,
Standing before all the saints,
To be our Mother and our Queen.
We dedicate ourselves to you,
In humility and love;
Our bodies and our souls,
Our gifts and our possessions,
The merit of good deeds,
Those present, past, and still to come.
We freely give you the right,
To deal with us
And everything we have,
As you see fit,
For the greater glory of God,
Both now and for eternity.
