Many were those who responded “Yes” to Our Lord’s call to gather in praise of His Divine Mercy this past weekend in Ambler, Pennsylvania. Hubert and Estelle de Torcy arrived from France for the occasion! With forty adults and thirty children, we came before Jesus for a time of mercy at St Anthony of Padua Church. Judith shared many of her experiences of Jesus’ mercy that she lived during the 100 days of the Rwandan Genocide in 1994. We pray especially for her who courageously shared this witness of good triumphing over evil. Two couples made steps of commitment into the Emmanuel Community in addition to a sister who took a step as a Associate member: the family just got bigger!
On Saturday evening the members of the Community lead a Mercy night with adoration, confession and mercy group for the parish. It was a great outreach to all the parishioners who attended.
Sunday brought us back together for morning praise and an update from Estelle and Hubert about the Community throughout the world, and it was inspiring. We all felt a call to action which we will now prayerfully discern together. Stefania and Stephen made us a real Italian pasta meal for lunch and we concluded our time together by praying the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy lead by Michal who is from Poland, which was a special blessing.
