Welcome a new EC family in Alabama

We are happy to welcome a new EC family in our “deep South”!

Meet the Piganeau family:

We are a French family that recently moved in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Pierre-Eloi works for a Tire plant as production shop manager and Berenice quit her job as we left France in order to support our 3 daughters in their new life here in the States. Neither Faustine (7), Zélie (5) or Maguelone (3) speak English, so days in school are bit tough sometimes. As we arrived in Alabama, we discovered our nearest Emmanuel Community brothers and sisters were only… a 4-hour drive away from us, in the Atlanta area! We are delighted to join them.

We met the Emmanuel Community in 2007 during our mission in the non-profit organization “Le Rocher”. This organization is lead by Emmanuel Community and serves children and families in less fortunate neighborhoods of France. We spent 3 years living in these challenging and diverse suburbs and working full time for “Le Rocher”. This experience fostered our thirst for mission and we wished to know the Community from the inside.

We have now been members of the Community for 8 years and are genuinely happy to be supported and loved by our brothers, encouraged in our prayer life and serving in various missions. What a joy it is to anchor our lives in Christ, to be testifying and evangelizing in our everyday life or in specific missions for Church. Have a great year everyone!

    1. Dear Pierre-Eloi and Berenice,

Bonsoir de Bondy, France! Je m’appelle David Neira and je suis dans le étape de discernment pour la vie consacrée c’est année. Originalement Je suis de la commuante de St. Paul aux Etats-Unis.

I’ve reached out to a missionary contact in Birmingham to see if she or anyone she knows may be interested in connecting with you. 4 hours to Atlanta isn’t terrible. Let’s pray for this. God bless and welcome.
