Relic of Saint John Paul II in Paray-le-Monial, France

A relic of Saint John Paul II can now be venerated from May 1 through June 28, 2014 at the Sanctuaries of Paray-le-Monial, France. Paray-le-Monial is one of the main centers of the Emmanuel Community. It is traditionally a place of pilgrimage to the Sacred Heart of Jesus found in Burgundy, France.

The relic of the beloved saint is a piece of fabric with a bit of blood spilled by John Paul II on the day he was shot on May 13, 1981.  Saint John Paul II made a pilgrimage to Paray-le-Monial on October 6, 1986.
