Dear brothers and sisters,

It is with a lot of joy that Community members all across Texas, in collaboration with Paul & Camille, have started preparing our 2020 Emmanuel Community Gathering. We will spend the weekend of Friday October 2nd – Sunday October 4th in the beautiful Forest Glen Camp in Houston, TX.

We are sure the Lord will abundantly shower many gifts on us during this time! On this page you will find all the information you need to prepare your travel.

Be sure to register as soon as possible! This will allow your Texas brothers and sisters to welcome you in the best way possible! Don’t hesitate to contact us at family.loenen@gmail.com if you have any questions!

We are looking forward to receiving y’all in Texas!

One in the Emmanuel,

Hortense, Claudine & Serge, Matteo, Rebecca & Paul, Luis & Elena, Edwin & Brechje

When

Begins: Friday October 2nd at 5:30 p.m. Registration and welcome starting at 3:30pm.

Ends: Sunday October 4th at 2pm. Followed by an afternoon fraternal time for those who can stay longer.

The retreat will officially begin on Friday. It is always a challenge to be able to gather everyone together, and it is such an important and blessed time. Therefore the sooner we can all be together (arriving on time on Friday for example), the better the retreat will be!

Where

This year we will meet at Forest Glen, North Shore + Lakeside | 34 Forest Glen Road, Huntsville, TX 77340

Forest Glen is a beautiful independent Christian camp & retreat center, located near Huntsville, Texas (Residence of Sam Houston, for all you history buffs out there).

The camp is situated on the shore of Grace Lake and has a lot of activities for kids and teenagers. Forest-Glen-Map

Transportation

Forest Glen is situated north of Houston. It is best to select a flight to the main airport: George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH): https://www.fly2houston.com/iah/overview/. It’s 63 miles from IAH to Forest Glen.

We are working on offering you help with the transportation to the retreat center. It will be on listed on here.

What to Bring

The center doesn’t provide linens (sheets and comforter), towels, pillows and blankets. If you can’t bring it, let us know on the registration form, we will do everything we can to provide what you need.

Bring Swimsuits! There is a pool (and a lake) and chances are that the weather will be nice and warm.

Bring good hiking/walking shoes: you will definitely have the opportunity to get  your steps in while moving from one building to the next!

Accomodations

We will be staying in spacious lodges on the lakeshore. We have reserved Matthew, Mark plus a few of the cabins.
