Today, the Church celebrates the memorial of the Queenship of Mary. Queen of Heaven and earth, Mary is also our beloved mother and she never tires of caring for us.
Pierre Goursat, the founder of the Emmanuel Community, said, “I believe we can move forward confidently and Mary also tells us this. She said,
Behold, I am your Mother. I love you tenderly. I will come along with you. I will lead you to the Cross, but I will be there.
(Fraternity of Jesus Retreat, August 1979)
Trusting in her love for us, we humbly consecrate ourselves to Mary and her Immaculate Heart.
Today, we choose you, Mary,
Standing before all the saints,
To be our Mother and our Queen.
We dedicate ourselves to you,
In humility and love;
Our bodies and our souls,
Our gifts and our possessions,
The merit of good deeds,
Those present, past, and still to come.
We freely give you the right,
To deal with us
And everything we have,
As you see fit,
For the greater glory of God,
Both now and for eternity.
Amen.
