Detroit started off their community year in a very special place. We all gathered together at the soon to be Blessed Solanus Casey Center. This saint was originally from Wisconsin but after much moving around with the Franciscan Capuchins, he ended up in Detroit where he touched many hearts with his spiritual counseling, simplicity and great devotion to consoling the sick, whom he offered special Masses for. The community gathered together to have Mass, praise, a time of adoration and sharing. The day was beautiful and fruitful. We are looking forward to an even fruitful year of monthly gatherings as well as open households so that the community could gradually grow according to the Lord’s will. Please pray for us.
Thanks for sharing these graces of your time together!
What a special place for a Community Day! Be sure- we are praying for you!
Happy that you were able to meet – and in such a great place! Good to see you (almost) all – blessings!
