On September 9th, we opened the Marian year as a local Emmanuel Community here in Minnesota.
With a total of 11 Adults, 10 children (plus a sweet little one in utero), we made the two and a half hour trek to the beautiful Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin. We began our pilgrimage with the Holy Mass, celebrated by our wonderful priests Fr. Kevin Manthey and Fr. Andrew Brinkman. The weather was warm, with clear skies and sunshine, absolutely perfect for an outdoor time of Praise, picnic, fellowship, and Rosary walk.
We were also edified by a reading of Laurent’s teaching, encouraging our reflection to better understand the words of the Consecration to Mary that are said daily. It was truly a blessing to be amidst brothers and sisters of the local Emmanuel Community. It was a gift to be together and to entrust the coming year to our Mother Mary.
It’s such a joy to see you guys! God bless!
Lovely! Thank you for sharing about your special pilgrimage.
