Our family had the privilege last week to be with the Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament on the Solemnity of Our Lady of Mercy as they welcomed two young women into the novitiate. It was an incredibly happy time and their faces radiated the joy of heaven as they said “Yes” to God. I was moved by the words from Psalm 63 that we sang together in morning prayer
My soul shall be filled as with a banquet, my mouth shall praise you with joy.
Like the Emmanuel Community, the Mercedarians find their strength and joy in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
We are thankful that God has given us these joyful sisters in our lives who, through their devotion to the Holy Eucharist, inspire us to live our vocation more deeply.
Mary, our Mother of Mercy, intercede for us and protect us.
