It seems so long ago that the then Pope Benedict left the Vatican for Castel Gandolfo as he took a step back as our Pope and made way for the Holy Spirit to bring in Pope Francis.
Today the same helicopter returned to the Vatican, this time bringing back our Pope Emeritus to his new dwelling inside the Vatican walls. It is there that he has chosen to spend the rest of his days in deep prayer and contemplation. I have no doubts that his prayers will be fruitful. We are so blessed to be living such a historical moment where we have our new Pope Francis guiding his flock– our beautiful Church and our dear and loving Pope Emeritus Benedict praying for us continually as the Church makes her way through these difficult times.
