As with John Paul II and Benedict XVI, Pope Francis will be meeting with all new communities/movements this coming Pentecost 2013 in Rome!
The Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization has recently renewed the invitation to attend the Meeting of the Pope with the ecclesial movements and the new communities on Pentecost 2013 in Rome. This meeting will consist of two distinct parts: the Vigil of Pentecost (Saturday, May 18th, 2013) and the Mass of Pentecost (Sunday, May 19th, 2013) in St. Peter’s Square.
The Emmanuel community, in turn, will organize several events around these two meeting points with Pope Francis, as well as a week-long mission in Rome the week immediately after Pentecost Sunday (May 20-26).
Laurent Landete, our moderator, has encouraged us who are able to attend to this invitation from our Holy Father to please come. For those who are unable to come, we will be united in prayer and mission as the fire of the Holy Spirit reignites our call to go out and spread the Good News wherever we are.
