Love Story Project – Caroline & Armand

February 14th is a day when love is celebrated by couples. We want to take this Valentine’s Day to honor “the icon of God’s love for us,” (Pope Francis) sacramental marriages! To display the beauty of a sacramental marriage, we are aiming to post one love story a day from our married brothers and sisters until we reach Valentine’s Day. May their stories draw you closer to the Source of their love. Happy reading!

We met for the first time at the ages of 18 and 22 but it was only a few years later, through an Emmanuel Community Youth prayer group, that we started to get to know each other better.

Caroline was supposed to greet new comers at the doors of the church and instead of participating in the prayer group, Armand would stay in the back with Caroline to chat 😊. We eventually got married, a few years later in that same church!

After ten years of marriage we finally realized that our calling, as a couple, was to serve the Church through the Emmanuel Community. Praying, worshiping and serving with brothers and sisters has deepened our joy and our desire to follow Christ in our day to day life. It has also made our love and respect for each other grow.

Now, 15 years have passed by, and from Paris to Austria, to Belgium, to Versailles to Atlanta Georgia, we have been blessed with four wonderful kids!

Praise to God!!!
